Andy McDermott
Andy McDermott is a comedian, writer, and producer known for his sharp wit, quick storytelling, and dynamic stage presence. Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, he’s performed at the Woodstock Comedy Festival, O+ Festival, and on WPDH’s Boris and Robin Show.
Eddie Brill, longtime Late Show with David Letterman talent coordinator, called him “so smart, so funny—I think the world of him as a comic.”
Through his production company More Than Jokes, McDermott produces hit stand-up and variety shows across the Northeast, blending homegrown humor with nationally touring talent. He’s appeared at top clubs including Laugh It Up!, Levity Live, FunnyBone, Stand Up NY, and The Comedy Works.
McDermott headlined the 2024 Crooked Mouth Comedy Festival, served as Producer and Talent for the Woodstock Comedy Festival, served as Talent for the Catskill Comedy Festival, and will be featured in the Saratoga Comedy Festival next fall.
Originally from the Catskills, McDermott continues to deliver clever, heartfelt, and fearless comedy to audiences throughout the region and beyond.
